Wow. Thanks for the kudos. =) As a naturally "social" person who happens to work for a GREAT company, I feel like I've found the "perfect Social Media storm" here.

It's nice to hear that my intuitions on how to communicate on Twitter are well received.

If you want to read more on growing your brand on Twitter, here's a link to an article I wrote a few months back. http://www.layersmagazine.com/social-media-twitter.html

Thanks again! =)

You are right on all accounts, but most definitely about the folks at NAPP. They are great individuals, it's a great organization and Nantz (the voice behind @NAPP_News) is incredible -- she always finds the answer to questions or passes you along to the right individual.

They have social media down pat over there, it would be nice for other companies to do the same.

@Paul Brace: Sharing and looking for feedback on your photography is a great use of Twitter, just try not to be a constant "link dumper." If all people see in your Twitter stream is link after link, they're just going to ignore you. Try to temper your links with some conversation in between...

Excellent points and a helpful review. I must admit being still quite new to Twitter and know I am not always on the right track, but have taken time to try to understand my followers want. As a photographer/artist when I put links to my work on twitter I am not necessarily "selling" the piece as sharing and it and looking for feedback. It is hard sometimes not to get it wrong. I have found the information side of Twitter surprisingly good. Also I had not participated in blogs before my Twitter experience, which has been another enlightening event. You're also right about NAPP as a long-time member who has benefitted tremendously from their educators, they consistently "get it right" with technology and communication. Good post. @imageinphotos
